Donna Christenson

Donna Christenson is Senior Vice President for Commercial Real Estate with MillenniuM Real Estate Advisors. She has over twenty years experience in issues involving tenant/buyer representation, including relocation; lease renewal and lease restructuring; purchase and sale representation; lease/purchase assessment; and control of rent escalation and operating expenses. Though she has chosen to focus on tenant and buyer representation, she got her start in the business representing a developer/landlord in leasing of over 100,000 square feet of office space in a 250,000 square foot commercial office project. She specializes in working with not-for-profit and media clients, as well as law firms and corporations.

In addition, Donna is the founding principal of www.DCdigest.com featuring food & wine, theater, film, music and art.   DCdigest.com hosts, lists, advises and/or reports on wine, gastronomic, cultural and social events …including IBIS concerts.  Formerly a television reporter and public affairs director for not-for-profit organizations, she was a national director of communications for the American Red Cross National Headquarters. A talented photographer, she exhibited 45 of her photos at a fine art gallery in Old Town Alexandria, VA. She holds two degrees in Communication, a B.A from Michigan State University and M.A. from Western Michigan University. A resident of Arlington for 17 years, where she was president of her condominium association, she now lives in Washington, D.C.


Joel Fuller (full bio)


Susan Fuller

Susan Fuller received her Masters in Violin Performance from the University of Michigan and her Bachelor of Music degree from Vanderbilt University with majors in Violin Performance and German. She has participated in many music festivals including the Meadowmount School for Strings, Encore, and the Aspen Music Festival where she served as Concertmaster of the American Academy of Conducting Orchestra. She has soloed with the University of Michigan Symphony Orchestra, the Vanderbilt University Orchestra, the Evansville Philharmonic and the Southeastern University Chamber Orchestra. She has competed at the State, Regional and National level in the Music Teachers National Association Competition. In 2003, she was runner-up at the national competition in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Her performances are described by Paul Kantor, Professor of Music at the Cleveland Institute of Music, as "of the highest technical level with the ability to establish an immediate rapport with audiences and speak to them through her artistry." Her main teachers have been Paul Kantor, Christian Teal, and Carol Dallinger.

Before moving to the DC area , Susan served as Assistant Professor of Music at Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL . She is a faculty member of the New England Suzuki Institute and is a frequent clinician at Suzuki Workshops across the U.S. Susan is currently the chair of the Suzuki Strings Department at the Levine School of Music where she teaches Suzuki violin.


Allison Gurnitz, Secretary

As owner and partner of Coray Gurnitz Consulting, Allison works with organizations to become more results-oriented/performance-based and customer-focused while reducing cost. Her approach centers on understanding an organization's core business outcomes and designing and implementing strategies to better achieve those outcomes. She emphasizes the importance of taking a systems view of how changes to an organization's structure, business rules, acquisition strategies, and technology impact its business outcomes.

Additionally, Allison is extremely involved in her son's elementary school as well as the Arlington community. For example, she is an active PTA member. She designed and led a school reading mentor program, chaired the school auction where she tripled the fundraising revenues of the school auction, was a room parent, was an active Cub Scout parent volunteer, and supported numerous local, national, and international organizations.

Allison serves on the board of IBIS, a community-based chamber music organization. She also recently accepted a position on the National Capital Area Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Board of Trustees. In 2007 Allison was one of 12 fundraisers across the country to raise over $100,000 for LLS.

Allison attended Michigan State University, where she earned a BA in International Relations and The George Washington University, where she earned her Master's in Public Administration.


Andrew Shotwell

Michael Andrew Shotwell is a sales and marketing manager with Airschott Inc. He has 20 years of experience working in the sales and services industry. Currently he works mainly on customs brokerage, freight forwarding and shipping logistics matters, and manages a diverse employee base. He focuses on targeting and obtaining new business for the company. Andy is also extremely involved in his community, coaching soccer, volunteering at his daughters' schools and volunteering as a founding board member of IBIS, a community-based chamber music organization. Mr. Shotwell attended Michigan State University, and spent time abroad through an exchange program in Osaka, Japan.


Maria diGiulian, Counsel

Maria DiGiulian is the Vice President of FWH and Associates, LLC. She has extensive public and private sector experience which she uses to provide multinational corporations and foreign governments with political and strategic guidance in resolving regulatory and political issues related to trade policy and legislation. She brings to her work a strong understanding of the legal, political and reputational complexities that companies face operating in the global economy. Ms. DiGiulian is also legal counsel to Ibis, A Chamber Music Society, Inc.

Prior to joining FWH and Associates LLC, Ms. DiGiulian gained significant experience as an associate at a major law firm where she provided strategic and legal guidance to multinational corporations, trade associations and governments on trade policy, Customs compliance, negotiations, litigation, and legislation. She focused her policy work in large part on issues related to Asia. She represented clients before the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, and the U.S. Congress.

Ms. DiGiulian also has represented clients in U.S. litigation with international ramifications in foreign affairs cases before the United States Supreme Court and various courts of appeal. She also has substantial trial experience as the lead associate on section 337 litigations (patent litigation) that are litigated before an administrative law judge at the U.S. International Trade Commission.

On Capitol Hill, Ms. DiGiulian worked on the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on International Economic Policy and focused on export control matters and economic issues related to Asia.

Ms. DiGiulian holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the George Mason University School of Law, a Master of Arts degree in East Asian Studies from George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College. She has been an active member of the American Bar Association's Section of International Law since 2003, and co-chaired the International Trade Committee from 2003 until 2005. She has been an active member of Women in International Trade since 1991, and served on its Board of Directors from 2002-2004. She has served as WIIT's secretary, and is currently the President-elect.
